Museum of the University of Valladolid
The Museum was opened in 2002 but has its background in 1924 as well as in the collections and cabinets created by the University in the nineteenth century.
Art and History Collection
The collection is displayed in the Building 'Rector Tejerina' (in front of Santa Cruz Palace). Baroque painting and sculpture works (Claudio Coello or Diego Valentín Díaz) and contemporary, liturgical, photography, historical objects and documents stand out.
Natural Sciences Collection
Located on the 2 nd floor in the García Quintana School (Plaza de España, 7). It has about 4,000 pieces distributed in 11 rooms dedicated to Paleontology, Geology, Zoology, Botany and Biology with excellent specimens in all subjects that give it a high pedagogical value.
Biomedical Sciences Collection
Located in the amphitheater and other offices in the Faculty of Medicine (Ramon y Cajal Street , 7) it has a magnificent collection of comparative anatomy, medical instruments and clinical instrumentation related to anatomy, ophthalmology and histology, as well as preparations and pieces modeled on wax, plaster, clay, cardboard, wood or plastic.
