Contemporary Art Museum
The Museo Patio Herreriano was created by agreement between the Valladolid City Council and the Contemporary Art Collection Association. In 2000, the Valladolid City Council constituted the Patio Herreriano Foundation aimed at the promotion and dissemination of Spanish contemporary art through the museum. The Contemporary Art Collection Association, made up of Spanish companies, donated its collections to be exhibited in the museum. The collection provides a comprehensive perspective of the Spanish art and its evolution since 1918 till today, with works by the most important artists and trends. The role of Ángel Ferrant and Galería Buades is to be highlighted. The museum also has an interesting program of temporary exhibitions that are instrumental for the study and interpretation of Spanish and international art, mainly focused on new artistic proposals.
