To the west of the city, according to the Mayor, “the third lung” will be created in addition to Fuente el Sol and the Antequera pine forest. It will be near Villa del Prado and will include sports and leisure facilities such as football pitches, short tennis courts, a cycle cross track, 7.5 km of paths for cyclists, a golf practice field, a fitness circuit of 1.5 km, an area for flying kites and furnishings for gymnastics. This 66 hectare complex will be joined to the Salamanca Avenue and Villa del Prado by a cycle path. Each 23rd November, the day of native species trees, different kinds of trees and bushes are planted in the park. So far the species have included oak, Holm oak, pine, almond, wild rose, haw thorn and sloe. It is delightful to be here and enjoys the spectacular city views.
