Sponsored by the banker Luis de la Serna as a familiar pantheon at the end of the 15th century, this church was built during different times. The apse covered by starred vaults was finalized in 1500 by the architect Juan de Arandia . The nave, subsequent to that date, is very wide, with a wood cover supported by diaphragm arches. In 1615 baroque vaults culminated with plaster-work were added, according to plans of Francisco de Praves. The tower of quadrangular base and Hispano-Flemish inspiration has five sections and its construction started in 1504 by Juan de Arandia and García Olave, although it was restored in the 17th century. Inside, it boasts beautiful coffering below the choir, the patrons' graves, and an important reredos depicting the Adoration of the Magi, created by Berruguete in 1537.
